Who is Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz Shafiq?
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz Shafiq is a Professor of Biochemistry at the School of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore. His academic foundation spans a PhD in Biochemistry/Bioinformatics, an MPhil, an MSc, an MBA in Marketing, and an LLB — and he previously served as Director of the Centre for Bioinformatics and Drug Design.
He has served as Director of the Skill Development Centre, University of the Punjab, Lahore, since November 2024. With multiple certifications in AI and more than three years of AI teaching experience, he has conducted numerous seminars, training sessions, and consultations on AI, and placed first among 311 submitted projects at the HEC PakAngels Cohort 3 AI Hackathon.
That combination of scientific research, business strategy, legal grounding, and hands-on AI practice led naturally to ImtiazAI — through which he provides AI consultancy, hands-on Generative AI training, and curriculum development for professionals, organizations, and institutions.
One perspective. Multiple disciplines.
ImtiazAI brings together scientific research, technology, business, and institutional perspectives to approach AI as a practical organizational capability rather than a passing trend.
01
Science & Research
Scientific and research-informed thinking
A PhD, MPhil, and MSc background in Biochemistry/Bioinformatics grounds AI adoption work in evidence-informed thinking rather than trend-following.
02
Technology & AI
Applied artificial intelligence
Generative AI, prompt engineering, AI workflows, and automation — applied to real tasks, not discussed in the abstract.
03
Business & Operations
Commercial and organizational perspective
An MBA in Marketing brings a practical read on organizational needs, workflows, and outcomes — not just what a tool can do, but whether it's worth doing.
04
Law & Governance
Institutional and regulatory perspective
An LLB adds a further lens on the institutional and governance questions AI adoption raises — a perspective, not a substitute for legal counsel.
